321 Stainless Steel Round Rod AISI 321 | UNS S32100
When stainless steel shafts are used in welded structures or high-temperature assemblies, resistance to intergranular corrosion and thermal stress becomes especially important. 321 stainless steel uses a Ni-Cr-Ti austenitic structure, with titanium helping to reduce chromium carbide formation and maintain material stability during heat exposure.
Compared with 304 stainless steel, 321 provides better intergranular corrosion resistance and higher strength at elevated temperatures. Its creep resistance and stress rupture performance make it well suited for precision shafts, welded high-temperature components, heat-resistant structural parts, and industrial equipment exposed to long-term thermal conditions.
Compass Power Tech supplies 321 stainless steel precision ground rods for customers who need stable dimensions, smooth surface quality, and dependable heat-resistant performance in demanding operating environments.

- Cut-to-length service: Shaft length can be customized according to customer assembly requirements.
- End chamfering: Both ends of the shaft can be chamfered to simplify downstream machining and installation.
- Drawing-based machining: Shafts can be machined according to customer drawings and supplied as ready-to-assemble components.
- Surface rolling treatment: Surface rolling can be applied to improve surface hardness when higher wear resistance is required.
To protect stainless steel precision ground shafting during sea freight and storage, Compass Power Tech uses anti-rust paper tube packaging. Before wrapping, anti-rust oil is applied evenly to the shaft surface, and anti-rust wax is applied inside the paper tube. This protection process helps reduce corrosion risk during transportation and ensures customers receive shafts in stable, ready-to-use condition.
We manufacture precision ground shafts, stainless steel tubing, piston rods and aluminum alloy cylinder tubes for hydraulic, pneumatic, machinery, energy and transportation applications. Contact us for material selection, specifications and customization support.
