Reliable hydraulic cylinder performance depends heavily on the accuracy and surface quality of the cylinder bore. Compass Power Tech manufactures honed hydraulic cylinder tubes and skived/roller burnished cylinder tubes for customers who need high dimensional precision, smooth inner surfaces, strong mechanical performance, and dependable sealing performance.

The inner bore is processed from cold drawn tube through high-speed honing to achieve tight dimensional control and excellent surface finish. Available tolerance grades can include H7, H8, and H9, with surface roughness reaching Ra≤0.4 µm and ovality controlled within approximately 0.03–0.05 mm. After honing, the inner surface can reach a very smooth finish, typically around Ra ≤ 0.08 µm, helping reduce friction and improve cylinder movement stability.

The honing process also forms a cold-worked layer on the inner wall, improving wear resistance and pressure-bearing capability while helping reduce leakage risk. These advantages make honed hydraulic cylinder tubes suitable for hydraulic cylinder bodies, heavy-duty hydraulic systems, industrial machinery, and applications requiring stable sealing and long service life.
