XM-13 Stainless Steel Round Bar AISI XM-13 | UNS S13800
High-strength applications in aerospace, marine, nuclear, and petrochemical environments require materials that can combine strength, toughness, and resistance to stress corrosion. XM-13 (13-8PH) precipitation hardening stainless steel delivers high yield strength after aging treatment while maintaining good fracture toughness and resistance to stress corrosion in marine environments.
After aging at 535°C, XM-13 can achieve yield strength above 1240 MPa. In the H950 condition, tensile strength can reach ≥1310 MPa, making this material suitable for load-bearing precision components exposed to demanding mechanical conditions. It also offers good cold workability, and TIG welding can be performed without preheating.
Compass Power Tech manufactures XM-13 (13-8PH) stainless steel precision ground bars for aerospace fasteners, nuclear reactor components, petrochemical equipment, aircraft landing gear parts, injection molding equipment, cold-heading fasteners, and other precision components requiring high strength, stable dimensions, and reliable corrosion resistance.

- Cut-to-length service: Shaft length can be customized according to customer assembly requirements.
- End chamfering: Both ends of the shaft can be chamfered to simplify downstream machining and installation.
- Drawing-based machining: Shafts can be machined according to customer drawings and supplied as ready-to-assemble components.
- Surface rolling treatment: Surface rolling can be applied to improve surface hardness when higher wear resistance is required.
To protect stainless steel precision ground shafting during sea freight and storage, Compass Power Tech uses anti-rust paper tube packaging. Before wrapping, anti-rust oil is applied evenly to the shaft surface, and anti-rust wax is applied inside the paper tube. This protection process helps reduce corrosion risk during transportation and ensures customers receive shafts in stable, ready-to-use condition.
We manufacture precision ground shafts, stainless steel tubing, piston rods and aluminum alloy cylinder tubes for hydraulic, pneumatic, machinery, energy and transportation applications. Contact us for material selection, specifications and customization support.
